Life
Larter is the daughter of Margaret, a homemaker and Danforth Larter who is a trucking executive. Larter did her schooling at Carusi Middle School and Cherry Hill High School West. Larter traveled the world after beginning modeling with Ford Models at the age of 14. She temporarily settled in Japan when she was of 17 and later on moved to Los Angeles with her boyfriend. She went to Australia when her boyfriend left her, ‘to put distance between them’, to put in her own words. When Larter came back to L.A, she started taking acting classes on the suggestion of a friend.
Career
In 1994, in Esquire magazine, Larter portrayed Allegra Coleman, the fake model. In 1997, Larter got her first professional role in one episode of Brooke Shield’s television Series “Suddenly Susan” and “Chicago Sons”. She also appeared in Dawson’s Creek, Chicago Hope and Just Shoot Me! Larter started her film career by working in “Varsity Blues” in 1999.
In 2001, Larter appeared on the cover page of Maxim Magazine. In the same year, in New York, she performed in the stage play The Vagina Monologues.
In 2002, she ranked 40th among the “102 Sexiest Women in the World” in Stuff magazine. Larter has also worked in Bollywood. She starred in the movie “Marigold” alongside Salman Khan in 2007. In the same year, she was ranked 6th in Maxim’s “Hot 100” list.
Larter also appeared in the teen comedies “Giving It Up” and “Drive Me Crazy”. Her other films include House on Haunted Hill (1999), Final Destination (2000) for which she even won a Young Hollywood Award, American Outlaws (2001), Legally Blonde (2001), Final Destination-2 (2003), Three Way (2004), Confess (2005), Crazy(2007), Resident Evil: Extinction (2007), Obsessed (2009) and many more.
Ali Larter is portraying Jessica/Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss on the television series “Heroes”.
Personal Life
‘Varsity Blues’ co-star Amy Smart and Erick Alegria are very good friends of Ali Larter. Larter is the fiancée of actor Hayes MacArthur, who has been her boyfriend for long and they got engaged on December 17, 2007.
