Life

Anders was born as the son of Dr. Tony and Jeri Holt. Anders has three siblings. Anders started acting when he was only three years old and acted in many school plays. However, in his high school, he spent more time in playing basketball and tennis. In his teenage, he portrayed Phillip the Apostle in “Jesus Christ Superstar”, a regional theatre’s production. In the following year, he managed to get the role of George in his school’s production of “Our Town” and later portrayed Freddy Eynsford-Hill in a production of “My fair Lady”

Career

Anders changed his name to David Anders when he moved to LA since another actor was already using the name of David Holt. Anders played the role of a high school senior in the television Series So Little Time in 2001. In the same year, he started working in ABC’s television Series Alias in a guest role of Julian Sark, but later on he joined the list of regular cast members of the show. During the period when he was working in Alias, he made guest appearances in Charmed, CSI and Grey’s Anatomy. Anders worked in the film The Surge in 2002. As a lead, Anders joined an Off-Broadway rock musical Beautiful in 2005. He worked in Left in Darkness in 2006. In 2007, Anders also starred in the movie “ELI”.

Anders has a versatile personality. He has also worked on stage in the world premier of Rockne: The Musical, in a lead role. In 2001, Anders also appeared in “The Dairy of Anne Frank” for which he also won the award of Best Ensemble performance at the Back Stage West Garland Awards.

Personal Life

In 2006, he joined his Alias’s costar, Greg Grunberg’s band, Band from TV. The band’s main goal is to raise money for the charity. Anders sings main vocals in the band along with Bonnie Somerville.
