The third season of the science fiction drama series Heroes debuted on 22nd September 2008. In the first episode, the identity of Nathan’s shooter is revealed to Matt who follows him into a desert while Hiro comes across a family secret that if revealed could be devastating for the world. Sylar visits Claire to enlist her help in restoring his abilities while Maya suggests a new idea to Suresh for his research. Later Sylar accidentally frees twelve criminals possessing superpowers during a confrontation with Elle while Hiro and Ando follow speedster robber to Paris.

Also while Claire comes to know more about her powers, Matt comes across an African who has similar powers and is called Usutu. Bennet targets the four villains involved in a bank heist along with his new friend while Tracy Strauss tries to get more information about Nikki and Hiro and Ando end up in Germany following The Haitian.
