Life
Bell’s parents Tom Bell (a television news director) and Lorelei “Lori” Bell (a registered nurse) got divorced when she was just two years old. Bell has a visual system disorder which affects her right eye. During her childhood, she even claimed that she didn’t like her first name and thought to change it, but her mother convinced her not to do so and go with her middle name, Anne.
In Huntington Wood, she attended Burton Elementary School and studied tap dancing and singing there. Bell then attended the Shrine Catholic High School, where she participated in drama and music club. Bell was named as the yearbook’s “Best Looking Girl” by votes of senior class, in 1998, the same year in which she graduated.
When Bell was of 17, Jenny DeRita, who was her best friend, was killed in an accident. According to Bell it was the worst as well as the best thing to have happened to her, as after this incident she learned not to take people for granted. After graduating from high school, Bell moved to New York and attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University with musical theatre as her major. However she did not complete her studies and left when she was only a few credits short of graduating to take up a role in a Broadway play.
Career
In Suburban Detroit Theatre’s Raggedy Ann and Andy, Bell managed to get the role of a banana and a tree, in 1992. Bell appeared in a locally filmed movie “Polish Wedding”, in an uncredited role, in 1998. In 2002, she worked as the voice actress in “The Cat Returns”. In the same year, she portrayed Jessica Hintel in the episode “The Quick Fix” of the series The Shield and appeared as Amy Fielding in the episode “Act of Contrition” of the series American Dreams.
Bell’s TV movie experiences include, The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay (2003), in which she appeared as Alison Dodge and Gracie’s Choice (2004), in which she was seen in the role of Gracie Thompson.

In 2004, she portrayed Laura Newton in the political thriller “Spartan”. In the same year, she played the title character in the American television series Veronica Mars for which she even won the Saturn Award for “Best Actress on Television”. Bell starred in Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical in 2005.
Bell’s film career also includes Fifty Pills, Pulse, Roman, a romantic comedy film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, Serious Moonlight, Fanboys, When in Rome and many more. Moreover she has been narrating the famous television series Gossip Girl, from 2007 till date.
On the “Emmy Idol” portion of the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, on September 18, 2005, Bell performed the theme song from Fame. In the same year, Bell was selected as “one of the 11 people you’d most like to see naked” by Jane magazine. On PETA’s yearly poll, Bell was selected as “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian”, in 2006.

Bell was in Maxim’s “Hot 100” list from 2005-2007, and ranked as 68th, 11th and 46th on the list for the respective years. On Ask Men’s Top 99 Women of 2008 list, she was at the 59th position.
Role In Heroes Tv Show
The role of Elle Bishop on the NBC’s well known television series “Heroes” has been portrayed by Kristen Bell. She was introduced in the episode “Fight or Fight” as an agent of the company.
Personal Life
Bell is a vegetarian since when she was of 11. She loves animals. Bell and many of her co-stars from Veronica Mars are a part of a charity organization named Invisible Children Inc. For Do Something’s great Healthy Living Campaign, Bell has also done public service announcement.
Bell ended her five year relationship with former fiancé Kevin Mann in 2007. She is currently dating actor Dax Shepard.
