      Milo Ventimiglia is an American actor who was born to Carol and Peter Ventimiglia. He comes from a family of multiple ancestries with his father being an Italian with Sicilian ancestors and his mother having an Irish, English, Scottish, French, Cherokee and Blackfoot ancestry. Milo’s last name is in fact the name of a town in Italy. He is the youngest of three siblings and has two elder sisters. He attended the El Modena High School in Orange, California and while there, participated in wrestling and also became the president in the student’s government. He graduated from UCLA with a major in English and also got scholarship to attend the American Conservatory Theater during their summer program. He formerly dated her co-star from Gilmore Girls, Alexis Bledel for three and a half years before ending the relationship in July 2006. He has recently confessed that he is currently dating his Heroes co-star, Hayden Panettiere.

Milo is presenting himself as one of Hollywood's most promising young talents with a continuously evolving career that involves exciting and challenging projects. He started his career in the entertainment industry at the age of eighteen years by auditioning, booking jobs, and working his way up. Since then he has moved on to work in 18 television shows and 16 movies besides producing 3 projects. On television he has appeared in shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Opposite Sex, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, American Dreams, Gilmore Girls and The Bedford Diaries etc., besides playing the role of Peter Petrelli in Heroes. He has worked in movies like Boys Life 2, Massholes, Cursed, Dirty Deeds, Stay Alive and Pathology etc. He has also produced Winter Tales and produced and directed It’s a Mall World. In addition he has appeared as himself on numerous shows like Heroes Unmasked, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, This morning, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Richard & Judy etc. For his work in Heroes, Milo was nominated for a Teen Choice Award under the category of Choice TV Actor: Drama in 2008 while he won the Teen Choice Award under the category of Choice TV Actor: Action Adventure in 2008.

Role In Heroes

 In Heroes, he plays the role of Peter Petrelli. He is the brother of politician Nathan Petrelli and works as a nurse. He discovers his power to fly when he tries to commit suicide by jumping off the top floor of his hospital building on learning about his father’s death. As the series progresses, Nathan and Peter find themselves going in opposite directions with Peter trying to save the world while Nathan who possesses powers similar to Peter, trying to use them for furthering his self interest. Later in the series, Peter also develops the ability to absorb the powers of others around him as he tries to save the world from the evil designs of his brother and his associate.
