Life

Santiago’s father is a Chilean diplomat and his mother is a homemaker. His family returned to Chile when he was of fifteen, but before that, they lived in Toronto, London, Madrid and Romania.

Before taking up acting, Santiago focused on athletics as the high school football team captain. But when his high school drama teacher encouraged him, he moved towards acting.

Career

Santiago sharpened up his acting skills while undergoing three years training at the Drama Centre where he performed in productions like The Madras House, A Month in the City, Napoli Milionaria, Britannicus, The Dutch Courtesan, The Strangeness of Others, A Field, Three Birds Alighting On and the title character in The Last Days Of Don Juan.

While he was in his final year at the Drama Centre, Santiago came up with his first television appearance on the British television series like Battlefield Britain, Judge John Deed, Spooks and As if.

Playing Montano in Shakespeare’s Othello at Northampton Theatre Royal was Santiago’s first role after graduating from the Drama Centre.

In 2006, he starred in Love and Other Disasters. He was also seen in the American TV series, Empire.

Role In Heroes Tv Show

Santiago has portrayed the character of Isaac Mendez in the NBC’s series Heroes. Isaac has the ability to paint the future.

Personal Life

Santiago is a very skillful person and is very fluent in Spanish, English, French and Italian. More ever Santiago is very good at tennis, hockey and scuba diving.
